Veterinary Technician Jobs

Veterinary Technician Job involves clinical work with direction from the veterinarian. Veterinary Technician will conduct tests and help diagnose and care for illnesses and injuries in animals and will help with conducting laboratory tests, taking blood, preparing tissue samples for testing, and performing urinalysis and blood counts. Veterinary Technician often uses medical equipment such as test tubes and laboratory machinery to carry out these tasks. Outside of the laboratory setting, Veterinary Technicians also take and develop x ray images, take medical histories, and care for animals under veterinary care. Veterinary Technicians with experience advise pet owners regarding healthy practices and may train new hires at their clinic. Small-animal practitioners employ Veterinary Technicians to provide care for companion animals like cats, dogs, frogs, birds, cattle, pigs, sheep, and fish.
Veterinary Technician Job requires masters or graduate in Veterinary Science. He/She should have 2-year relevant experience. Veterinary Technician must have a sense of caring for animals, be able to lift approximately 90 pounds, walk dogs of up to 130 pounds, work on feet all day, and read and understand English.
