GTE Financial is looking for organized, professional, friendly people to join our fun working environment as a Personal Banker
. Personal Bankers will ensure membersâ€™ needs are achieved by conducting a thorough financial assessment and recommending the most appropriate products and services that fulfills the memberâ€™s immediate and future financial goals.
As a Personal Banker, you will focus on building long term relationships with our customers (aka members) to understand their financial needs and provide suggestions regarding the appropriate products and services to meet their needs. In addition to meeting sales goals, you will also be required to direct members to the appropriate areas of the credit union. This role will generate leads, build new and maintain existing member relationships, and drive a great member experience.
What does GTE look for in a Personal Banker?
Conduct member transactions and decisions, such as, lending products, and new member applications.
Gather information, analyze facts and sell members the appropriate products/services to provide one-point resolution to satisfy their needs.
Serve as a risk leader; understand and manage risks in the business, adhere to policies, procedures and controls and ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations
Work with team to develop an acquisition strategy for new memberships and retention strategy for existing member accounts.
Demonstrate sound judgement in loan origination by providing clear and detailed recommendations to our members in accordance with all regulatory standards.
Maintain deep knowledge of credit union products and services.
Demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including by not limited to: U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act and the Bank Bribery Act.
Previous experience in financial institution or related field is strongly preferred.
Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years previous experience in the financial industry.
Location: Community Financial Centers
Center Hours: Monday â€“ Friday (9:00 am to 6:00 pm)
Saturday (9:00 am to 1:00 pm)
