Child Support Jobs
A bilingual child support professional is responsible for working with customers from diverse cultures to access child support programs and receive child support program services. Duties include managing child support cases and applying knowledge of policies, state and federal regulations to progress cases through the administrative and legal system; communicating with bilingual customers which could include Asian Americans, Latin Americans, European Americans, or other nationals; establishing paternity through use of bilingual support tools; establishing and enforcing child support orders making use of bilingual abilities; locating non-custodial parents for provision of child support services in a bilingual environment; researching and reviewing records to gather information vital to cases as may be available in a native language of the customer; and verifying existing or automated child support systems.
A child support professional should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Excellent customer service skills and bilingual skills in Spanish, French, German, Russian, Arabic, or any other language may be required for providing child support services.
