Typical duties of a bilingual collections professional include calling on individuals or businesses to remind them about payments, taking appointments to receive checks or payments, visiting customer's premises to collect the receivables, providing excellent customer service experience to the customer, informing the customer about the various schemes applicable in case of need for early payments, offering the customer appropriate schemes to go with and make payments, and meeting periodical collections or recovery targets. A bilingual collections professional typically reports to the collections manager or recovery manager.
A bilingual collections professional should have an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree. Stellar academic credentials and excellent negotiation skills may be helpful. Prior experience as bilingual collections professional may be advantageous.
